Designers

Today, my friend asked me who my favorite designer is, and i just realized i never answered her. (You know who you are!) Anywhoo, here's my answer!

I love looking at the French designs from Carven:

Here's a pair i absolutely love. I bought a pair last weekend that are brown lace-ups with stacked high-heels.

I love the classicness (is that a word?...) of Chanel:

I love the lace and airyness (not sure if that is a word, either...) of Valentino's spring collection:

I love the contrast of all the plain colors (tan, black, grey, white) with the bright orange in Dior's spring/summer collection:

Shopping Trip!

Ok, so I LOVE H&M. Their clothes are super modern and chic, and I love the pastel collection they have in stores right now for spring. I went last weekend and bought 2 dresses and 2 pairs of shorts. Here they are:

Mint Shorts

Apricot Shorts

Peach Lace Dress with open back

Black dress with orange, white, and pink keys (couldn't find a picture of the one i bought, but this is the same exact style)

Lace Trimmed Shorts

Ok, so i saw a pair of lace trimmed jean shorts at Pacsun and it was love at first sight. And as i was looking at them, i was like, i can make those! Here they are:

Adding lace trim to old jean shorts is a great way to refreshen an old pair of shorts. All you have to do is measure the width of the short’s leg and either sew or glue the lace. I think sewing would work better, personally. Oh, and use a sharp needle not a blunt one. I got the idea from a blog (Bikinis and Passports) and here's the picture of the pair she did:

DIY Lace Shorts by bikinis and passports First of all I love the blog’s name. Second, this DIY is exactly what I saw on a Lucky Magazine yesterday. How, cool. Lace trim shorts are not only way to refreshen an old pair of distressed shorts but if feel some shorts are bit risqué this will sweeten them up ; ) All you do is measure the width of the short’s leg and either sew or glue the lace. I prefer sewing don’t worry with some determination and patience you can handsew jeans. Believe me I done this a couple of times just use a sharp needle not a blunt one  ; )

Really cute idea!

I'll post of picture of mine when i finish!

Spring Cleaning: Closet Organizing!

Sure, we all wish we had a clost like Khloe Kardashian or Mariah Carey. But reality hits, and we don't. A girl can dream, right?

Here are some tips to making your closet more organized (so you have room for more clothes, of course!): Get into the habit of rotating your clothes seasonally so that half of your clothing is out of site at all times (I put mine in plastic containers under my bed). Color coordinate and organize by sleeve length (cami, tank, short sleeve, 3 quarter, long sleeve). My best friend just helped me do this for my closet, and it cuts my time getting dressed in the morning in half.

On the back of your door, try hanging a shoe rack. You can also try hanging a full-length mirror , which will make the closet look bigger and give you a way to check out your outfit in the morning.

Use in the right kind of hanger for the type of clothing you are hanging. Use padded hangers for items made from delicate fabrics, plastic hangers for button-down shirts, and sturdy wood hangers for blazers.
I use space saving hangers for all my camis and tanks and tie hangers for all my belts.
